Today, I had a mental health warrior training session.
As a mental health warrior, its my job to aid and assist students when they feel like they need help/support with something, or want to talk about issues. So today, I met up with the mental health warrior leaders and other mental health warriors to do training on how to be a good peer supporter
What I did was:
- Learn about anxiety and stress
- Learn how to identify stress
- Learn how to lead a conversation with someone who’s struggling with something/struggling to speak out
Overall, I think it was a very enlightening experience because I got to learn so much more about mental health and how I can support the school community through these events.
